Passing Levels
If you need individual help, the
instructors are always available at 8:00 pm for questions and to test
people.
PASSING CARDS
You will receive a Salsa Mía
Passing card when you register for the classes. Each time you come to
take a class, bring your card with you and present it at registration to
get the wristband for your level. The instructors need to sign off on your
card each time you are ready to be passed to the next level. This
enables you to advance at your
own pace.
Each level has specific steps and turns assigned to it so you will stay
in each level until you master everything on the syllabus here below.
See here below to find out how we test and pass each student.
PASSING SYSTEM
-
Instructors will let you
know when you are ready to progress to the next level.
-
You can test with the
instructors any class night at 8:00 if you want to change levels.
-
Students cannot change
levels without the signature of the instructor nor in the middle of
a class.
-
Know: names and hand signals for each step in each level up
through the one you are in.
-
Be able: to dance each step using entire body, feet & arms - all
moving together properly.
-
Be able: to dance each step on time to the music.
-
Be able: to dance all steps in combination with all other steps you
have learned in previous levels.
-
Relax and have fun! If you
can do the basic steps well, everyone will want to dance with you!
